Status of mobile app

So with the Moo.do beta expired, where/when can we try out the mobile version of Legend? 🙂

The Moo.do app is still available. The released version had been the same as the beta version for a while anyway. Are you not seeing it in the iOS App Store or Android Play Store?

We started this as a quiet desktop-only rename to iron out the kinks before emailing all of our existing users and renaming all the other apps. And at the same we’ve built up a much bigger suite of automated tests along with the design update. Once we release the design update (likely this weekend) we will start the process of announcing the rebrand on a larger scale and renaming/rebranding the mobile apps and extensions. So I expect you should see the mobile app rename to Legend in a couple weeks or so. We will of course announce it when we do that 🙂

It works fine now. Had to uninstall the TestFlight version and install the one from the App store.

So can I be confident in using the mobile “Moo.do” app that it will sync with the desktop Legend?

Is the name change of the mobile app still happening?

Yes, the Legend app is actually already approved by the app stores. We just didn’t want to release the renamed app without fully notifying everyone, because it could be quite a shock if someone goes to open Moo.do but it’s just gone because it’s been renamed. We are setting up a mailing list to email those Moo.do users who have not signed into Legend yet, then we will release the renamed apps and rename the extensions. That should happen early next week.

Also, Moo.do and Legend are the exact same apps with just different branding, so they’ll always sync. We’ll keep updating Moo.do in parity with Legend for a while until all Moo.do users have switched over.
