Legend App (MacOS) "can't be opened"

Bit of a weird issue. I’ll start by saying that Legend app on my personal Mac works fine. This is my work laptop which I know is locked down in various ways. That said - most applications I’ve tried have no issue. Only a very small handful have given me this

No idea why but I really want to be able to use the app on this laptop. Wondering if there is anything at all I can look at to fix.

Examples of apps that have given me this error as well:

Logseq (when downloaded release from Gihtub. Download from their website works fine)
Things Helper (the actual things app works fine)
Amethyst (window manager)

Pretty much anything else works fine.

I wonder if maybe you downloaded the Apple Silicon version but are using an Intel mac? Otherwise I’m not sure what would cause that… If you Ctrl + Click on it and select Open does it work?

Thanks Jay. I had the same thought and tried both versions without success. Ctrl + Click doesn’t help. I’ve checked for any security preferences that might look like it’s blocking but I don’t see anything. It’s really weird.

Did you ever find a way around this issue? I am getting the same error now. I’m on a MacBook Air with the M1 chip and definitely downloaded the Apple Silicon version but get this error when trying to run. I’ve checked the permissions on the app but everything looks good so far.

Hmm, I have no idea what it could be. Can you try reinstalling the latest version from https://github.com/MooDoApp/MooDoApp.github.io/releases/tag/v2.2.4? Maybe it was corrupting during download somehow?
