(I’ve updated this feature suggestion to provide a bit more detail)
For those of us that remember the Palm Pilot/Palm OS, there was a third party application called Datebook+. It was a calendar/todo app which supported an event called a “Floating Date Event”. If an event was flagged as ’Floating Date", then the date of the item would ‘increment’ to the next day every night at midnight until the item was checked as completed. Once Completed, it would stop incrementing and stay on the day in which it was completed.
It was an excellent method of keeping events in your “today” groups, and since it left them on the date when they were completed, you could look at any day and see what had been done on that particular day.
For example, If I had an event dated January 10, at midnight on January 10th that event would re-date itself as January 11th. This would continue every day until the event was marked ‘completed’ or deleted.
It was a simple method of making overdue events ‘chase’ you every day until they were completed. There was also a special icon on floating events (an arrow facing forward if i remember correctly) so you would visually spot them.
I’d like to suggest that a similar option be added to Legend’s date capabilities for items.
