If I create a new document, then click in that document and begin to type, that item appears to be of the “None” type.
If I hit return, then type, the second item in the document is a bullet type.
Since my Settings/General/Default Item Type are set to Bullet, I would have expected the first item to have been of the Bullet type, but that setting only seems to affect the second item you type into a new document.
