Note text is now invisible

The color of notes (when you press Shift Enter) in dark theme in the windows desktop app is now invisible (I assume it’sthe same as the background color) rendering the text you type inside a note invisible. If you select the text then you can confirm that what you typed is actuallly there.
When the note dialog is closed the note is properly shown beneath the item text so it’s only the dialogs that seem to be affected in your latest changes.

Fixed in the latest update. It was caused by removing the “base” selector in a recent update. Thanks!

Hi,
I just installed the Legend windows app from the site and have exactly the same problem.
As I believe this should be the most current version of the app ( 1633446484514; October 5, 6:08) , maybe the bug have been reintroduced.

Voronius Is it still not showing notes in the latest version? Can you try opening the Colors section of the Themes and reset? If it’s still not showing notes can you please share a screenshot?

@Jay I just tried on another document and the text color is fine.
Actually, the bug seems to be that I can’t change the text colors from the colors menu ( in Notes panel).
When I select the text, the moment I open the color pallet menu the selection is gone, so my choice of color doesn’t affect anything.
So if I paste the text from a Word processor it inherits the text style and colors, and they can’t be changed or reset to the themes default.

Actually, an introduction of a button “Clear Formatting” probably is a god idea, as in this situation I can’t clear text font and size either.

Voronius Ah, the text within the note popup is invisible because it’s displaying with the color from the paste? That’s a different bug than the original post (it was about the preview line), but certainly a problem. The issue is that notes are rendered with HTML so they work totally differently than pane items. We have a medium to long-term plan to have notes render like panes, now that we have a lot more formatting options in panes. But for now, we’ll try to fix the color palette button.
