LauraH Thanks for double-checking, you’re right, there’s at least one case where zooming into a mirror does go to the original. If I command-click (control-click on Windows?) on the left part of a mirrored item, I do zoom in to the mirror as expected, and if I right-click and select “zoom in” from the pop-up menu, it also zooms to the mirror. But if I put the cursor on the mirror, and use the control-enter keyboard shortcut to zoom, it zooms to the original. Is that your experience too?
The “grandparent zoom” behaviour is something you originally described on Slack back in May:

I tested this because it specifically said that it wasn’t related to filters. I’m not able to reproduce the behaviour that mirrors don’t display when zoomed to their parent level, when no filtering is involved. I haven’t checked any filter-related bugs yet because I don’t use filters much (so far), and because Jay has been doing a major overhaul of filtering recently. Are you still finding problems where mirrored items don’t show up, based only on the zoom level, without any filtering? Please do also report filtering-related things in this discussion, I just personally can’t think about them at the moment.

I feel pretty much the same way. I’m really looking forward to using mirrors in the future, so I’m spending time to test and report bugs now. I do undertstand ideas of agile development, “deliver in beta”, “move fast and break things”, and so on, but I think mirroring is too unstable to actually use, and should probably not be part of the stable release, and not recommended for anyone to use in their daily routines right now - especially if you also want to use the mobile app.
Case in point - after closer examination of the “zoom goes to original” problem, I now have a new list of half a dozen other unexpected behaviours with mirrors - will post soon.
