Deleting an item via right-click, navigating the context menu, then selecting “Delete Item” takes quite a few operations.
Deleting an item with a hot-key is far faster, but requires a bit of ‘back and forth’ between the mouse-select-item & hotkey to delete an item with the keyboard.
When re-arranging and managing large outlines, the two things I do the most are move items between panes with the mouse and delete items. It occurs to me that it would be handy (and intuitive) to be able to delete items with the mouse by dragging them into either the existing “Trash Document” which is already visible, or a new “Trashed Items” ‘area’ or the UI. This, with a Settings option for “delete without confirmation” would help Legend’s already wonderful panes feature for management of large numbers of items.
Of course, I could always create a “Trashed Items” Document myself, but then they wouldn’t really be trashed/deleted.
