Mirrored items zoom to "original" instead of the chosen instance

If I click to zoom into a mirrored item, it takes me to the “original” item; instead of zooming into the instance I clicked on at the location I’m currently working in my outline.
This is disorienting and unexpected.

Expected behavior: Clicking to zoom in should zoom into that instance of the mirror.

Absolutely. This is not only disorienting but also totally breaks the illusion of mirrors not having an “original”.

When this behavior causes a Pane to point to a completely different document (as it often does in my application), it can be really frustrating to get your Pane properly pointed to the right document again. Sometimes it’s enough to just use “back” but that’s not always possible if you’ve done much after the zoom.

In addition to the above, the behavior when using the BACK button is incorrect.

If I’m viewing Document A and I zoom into a mirror that has its original in Document B, I am zoomed into the instance in Document B as above. But if I then press BACK to return to my original working point, I am instead “un zoomed” _still in Document B__.

This is disorienting and a real workflow-wrecker.

This is only partially fixed after the big “mirrors” update.

Zooming into a mirror still takes you to the “original” instance’s document, which is an incorrect behavior for a true mirror that is agnostic of which item is the “original”.

However, at least the “back” button does take you back to the document you actually started from, so there’s a lot less potential for getting disoriented.

Of course, it “shouldn’t matter” in terms of editing the items in the resulting zoomed Pane, but if a user chooses to jump up the Outline using breadcrumbs after making their changes, they’ll unexpectedly end up in a totally wrong document.

I’m bumping the priority of this because it “should” have already been addressed, plus it’s been around for a while.

I second (or third?) this one: the expected behavior for clicking on an instance of a mirrored item is to navigate to that particular instance. The current behavior is to navigate to the original.
