No, I open the google drive pane. Filter on image, select the image and press select. In Legend nothing happens. I’m using the windows app.

I’ve reproduced the problem and am working on it now.

Fixed in latest beta update, and will get it out to the main app shortly. Thanks for the report and details!

I switched to beta in the windows app, still no files in the Files Pane. Seems nothing has changed.

Eik Can you check the version? Click on the cloud icon and see the App Version. It should be 1630497069441. @Jorge reported not seeing the update so maybe it didn’t go out properly?

If it is the correct version, can you try adding a new Files Pane and see if it loads correctly? It may be that the already open pane is bugged in a way that wasn’t quite fixed.

I have checked the version and it is the same as you described. Files pane is still not working, even after closing and adding again.

I’m having issues linking to Drive docs as well. The Drive pane populates but when I “choose files to show in Legend”, after selecting a file it usually doesn’t show up in the Files pane. I say usually because it did work once in the last day after switching panes/restart, etc. but isn’t working right now. I do have the latest update.

Is there any easier way to link directly to a Drive file from an item rather than having to add it to the Files pane and then drag? There should be!

andrew If you press / in an empty item, the last option is Choose Drive File. The feature could definitely be easier to find. I’ll look into adding that in more places. After selecting a file and it doesn’t show up, does it show up after refresh? Or just not at all?

The process to choose a file after ‘/’ and choose drive file works for me. But the file Pane still does not work. Maybe something to do with cookies or caching? Or permissions on Google drive?

Jay OK I was trying to insert the file after existing text so the / command and + button were not accessible so was looking for it on the context menu.

As for the selected file appearing in the Files pane, one time it did after reloading, other times it has not. Don’t know what I did differently.

Ok, I will investigate some more.

Ok, I think it’s really fixed in the latest beta version.

It was trying to build up a folder structure because the Drive plugin used to be able to get all files in Drive, not just the ones you choose. So for some items in subfolders it didn’t have permissions to access the full folder structure, so it never showed those items. So now it will just load all items regardless of folder structure, and so you should be seeing every file you selected now.

It still seems to sometimes not update immediately after selecting a file, but it does after refreshing the page. I’ll fix that in the next update.

Ok and now in the latest update it appears to be updating immediately with the selected file.

Is it working better for you all now?

        • Eik replied to this.

Jay It is working better, but now all files are shown even if I only selected one file. Also some files are shown twice. One time for the file in the folder and one time in the root as well. Is this how it supposed to work? I also do not want to see Legend Backups.

          • Jay replied to this.

Thanks Eik, I’ll keep working on it. I’ll make it not show the backups and de-duplicate the files.

It is meant to show all files you’ve given access to, so it should populate on load with everything you’ve selected or uploaded, then when you select a new one, it adds to the list.

Ok, lots of updates to the Files pane in the latest version. All of those issues should now be fixed, and as an added bonus it caches its state offline so all files will be available on load 🙂.

How is it for you now? @Eik @Rihards @andrew
