Adding text after inline code

Same issue as reported in “Adding text after a link” - there is no way to discontinue the code block and just type regular text

Turns out this issue occurs when trying to add text before an inline code block as well

Not sure if it is what you mean but if I create a code block there is no way other than clicking away from the block to stop editing it!
And from there, if I want to continue adding items in the document, it is simply impossible to create a new item after the code block.
