using mirrors in the agenda : bug ?

Good morning
I don’t know if we can call this a bug, or is it a deliberate choice?
For mirrored items, if they are dated, they appear twice in the “Agenda” view. For me this is not the desired behavior, it should only appear once. It may happen that I have 4 or 5 mirrors, and in this case, they will appear 4 or 5 times in this “Agenda” view.
If we switch to a week or month view, it only appears once, which seems completely logical to me.

Is that happening when they’re synced to Google Calendar? The logic for displaying calendar events is a bit different so it may be missing mirrors. I’ll check into that.

Good evening, no connection with a Google Calendar event.
Only a mirrored item.

AFAIK every instance of a mirror is treated as a unique item, throughout Legend (not just agenda).

For example, any of the group-by panes will show every instance under each header.

I expect some workflows would need the current behavior but a pane option for “show only one instance of mirrors” would be valuable, especially for things like a flat-list Pane used to focus on a simplified set of actionable items.

Nearly all my workflows would be better if all instances were collapsed up into the topmost one in the document.

In my opinion, it must appear only once when the display is on a calendar (diary, calendar for a day, a week or a month).
If you scroll down the items or do a search, it should appear in all the places where the mirrors are.

My preference is to have an explicit pane option, because treating mirrors differently depending on where the user is seeing them can be confusing.

Of course adding more options isn’t always ideal. If there were to be only one behavior I’d say mirrors should be simplified to a single instance in any group-by panes – including calendar and agenda, since those are just special-display versions of group-by date). In outline and list panes they should remain multiple-instance. I believe this agrees with @christophe .

Seeing this relatively recent post and still having the issue in Legend, I understand the situations has not evolved?
