While drag/drop from Gmail and Gcal are what originally brought me to Legend, they aren’t actually core parts of my workflow (anymore). Gcal sync in Legend has too many gaps to meet my needs (repeaters, multi-day events) and I use Mailbird integration because I have multiple email accounts, some of which are hosted on non-google servers.
I don’t know how much of that is because Google makes it hard, how much is because Legend makes it hard, or how much it’s just plain hard.
But if Google is part of the problem…is there any future situation where non-google accounts could be connected to Legend? Or is that a huge shake-up? For example, I’ve been looking at the Proton suite, which includes email, contacts, and calendars to (fully) replace my current Google account.
Anybody else interested in google-independent options?
