I thought I’d try a shared document using encryption. Here is what happened:
- Under my Legend account on native Legend app, I created a new cloud document called Grocery List.
- I entered in a few line items into that new document.
- I then shared it to an email address under which I set up a free Legend account. I then selected Share for that document, and gave it a password, then clicked encrypt.
A dialog appears asking with whom I would like to share the document, but behind it, in the Legend Apps main ui, I can see that all my items in that document are now unreadable ascii characters (encrypted?).
- I then complete the sharing process with another user, The main UI of Legend still shows the items in that document as unreadable characters.
-Logging in under the new account, after being asked and entering the encryption password, the shared document is showing unreadable characters for the encrypted document.
This only seems to happen if you enter items into the document before you share it using encryption.
