I’ve been using moo.do for the last 3 years. I understand the developer wants to change things with app and has changed the pricing structure. However I appear to been automatically assigned to the Pro Legend subscription, with no offer, or currently no option, to instead move to the basic plan? Why is this?

Thanks

jamescparsons If you were already a premium subscriber you keep the same pricing, but you get all the top level Pro features for the original Moo.do price. So moving to Basic isn’t an option because changing to that would actually be a higher price for less features. We do show the option to upgrade to Pro in case people want to support us by paying the new price, but I can definitely see how it appears like your existing subscription has been changed.

Do you have any ideas for how we could make that clearer?

Hi Jay. Thanks for the reply. I’m glad to hear that.

In settings under Upgrade I think the confusing statement is “As a Premium member of Moo.do you are legacied in to the top Pro tier of Legend, so you don’t need to change anything.” I read it to mean I was being moved to the higher price without being asked. I think you could probably just change this statement to say explicitly that any legacy users will continue to pay what they used to, but will be assigned a Pro account. If they want to support Legend and pay more for it under the new pricing structure that’s also an option. Just needs a bit of clarity.

    Thanks

jamescparsons I changed it in the latest update (version 1634900138841 : https://forum.legendapp.com/d/137-beta-updates/84) to show the Legacy pricing tier along with the other options, which I think should be clearer. And I changed the message to:

As a Premium member of Moo.do you get the features of top Pro tier of Legend with no change to your pricing, so you don’t need to change anything. But you can upgrade to the new pricing if you’d like to support us ❤️

      What do you think?
