bugs with mail panels

Hello, there are still a lot of issues with the mail panels. Since almost no one reports it, I may be the only one, is it related to the language (French for me)?
When I send an email, it does not appear on the sent mails panel, I have to close moo.do (edit legend 😁) and relaunch for it to appear.
Emails deleted from the inbox sometimes reappear suddenly (usually as soon as I deleted or archived a message).
Sometimes the inbox panel shows the same list of messages as the sent mails panel.
Finally, it’s been a long time since I noticed, when I click on “Refresh Emails”, absolutely nothing happens, as if the button was inactive.

It may be related to French launguage. I will try setting my language to French and see if I can reproduce these issues.

We did learn recently that having Conversation view turned off in Gmail can cause some issues which we will try to fix soon. Is your Conversation view turned off?

Jay Jay, this is too important for me, there is a real loss of productivity.
I feel like the problem is not for everyone, but it seems to me that I am not the only one either.

christophe I think all of those bugs were caused by the dates parsing incorrectly. I have added specific handling for dates in French in the latest update, and it seems to work as expected now. Does it work better for you now?

Jay It looks a lot better, especially when it comes to the hours, and the display of emails in the inbox.
But I think there are still concerns.
I use 3 side-by-side panels, the outliner, received emails, and sent emails.
When I send an email, it does not appear in the sent mails panel, I have to restart the application.

christophe What if you just switch boards or refresh the sent mails pane? I think we may want sending an email to trigger refreshing the sent mail panes.

Jay The panel change or update seems to work. On the other hand, concern with the labels which are not good.

I was just testing this just before reading your post.
I check as soon as I send emails, but I have the impression that it is good.
I got back to you as soon as I looked. If it works, that’s great, because it pissed me off for quite a while.

I’m sorry, but the various issues are not really resolved.
The only positive change is that the hour is finally appearing.
Labels are not synchronized.
I have a panel for the inbox, and a panel for sent mails.
If I refresh, even if I empty the inbox, I have the Inbox label that appears in Sent Items.
It’s been a really long time since there are these concerns on the mail panels, for several months.
I hope you can find a solution soon, because I am almost hesitant to use the mails on Legend.

I know that you are committed to correcting many bugs and that as such, you are in great demand (mirror elements, all updates from moo.do to legend …).
My problem seems to be specific to the French language.
I still have concerns about emails.
Since your last intervention, there have been improvements, but the labels are still not synchronized, even if I refresh, or even if I change panels.
On my “inbox” panel, archiving does not work, I have to refresh for an archived item to disappear (this problem is painful, but ultimately, it’s not the most annoying).
The most problematic for me is when I send an email, it does not appear immediately in the items sent, even after reloading. If at least this problem could be fixed, I will deal with the other bugs.

I would like to take advantage of the fact that you are on troubleshooting to return to this topic.
The experience is still painful for me.
I tested by switching Gmail to English (instead of French), I see the same anomalies.
My concern is really related to refreshment, and labels that do not update immediately.
It lasts and it is really frustrating for me, I hope that a solution can be found quickly.
So I use a board with 3 panels: an outliner panel, an inbox mail panel (“boîte de réception” in French), an email panel with the items sent.
The panel with the sent elements always takes several minutes to refresh properly (even if I restart Legend).
However, when I send an email, I sometimes need to slip it into the outliner. The waiting time is so long that I sometimes forget to do it, it’s complicated to manage in my delegation of tasks.
I also noticed a refresh problem with the labels.
When I process all the emails in the inbox (I apply the principle of the empty inbox), the emails in the sent mails panel still receive the inbox label (“boîte de réception” in French). The labels therefore take several minutes to cool off.

Finally, one very last thing. When I archive an email, it happens from time to time that it reappears immediately, so I have to archive it a second time. On this point, it’s much more stable than before, a few months ago, I sometimes had to archive an email 4 or 5 times before it was really archived. This is no longer the case, it just lacks a bit of stability.

I feel like I am getting painful with this same repeated request, but it really is a real problem to deal with. I hope it will be possible to find a solution.
