There seems to be a problem with items “belonging” to the wrong document when using mirrors. Not sure if this was reported elsewhere already.
It shows up especially when mirroring items from a local document to a cloud document. If I add new child items within the mirror, the new items are sometimes unable to have children. I see the error “Moving items between local and synced documents is not yet supported. Please copy and paste these items for now.” However, at other times, it works ok.
See this example screen recording: https://www.screencast.com/t/qwNvHGUaNwgU
In the example, I have an item with several children, which is mirrored from a local document to another document in the cloud. If I add a new child item to it via the mirror, in between existing ones, then I can’t indent other items below that one. Neither new ones, even if I create them in the mirror, nor existing ones, regardless of where they were created, will work. Instead I get the error message. This makes it difficult to use mirrors in general, between local and cloud documents. I can’t copy and paste as the error message suggests, unless I navigate back to the original document, which kind of defeats the purpose of using mirrors.
However, if I add it or move it to the last child position, it’s then able to accept other items as children. It can then be moved around, and seems to behave as though it’s part of the original, local file again.
One other thing, because of this, I’m also concerned that private information I add to the local document by typing it into the mirror might be going to the cloud. Is it?
