Hey everyone!

As you’ve already seen from @Yonz posting on the forum, I’m excited to announce that Legend is joining Vella.ai!

So Legend will now have a big team behind it, bringing fresh energy and a shared vision to make Legend as great as I’ve always wanted it to be 🎉

And that means we’ll get updates out quicker and address the issues that have been reported here, and build out some great new features!

We’re moving to an awesome new community space for improved engagement, and we’ve already fixed a few bugs as we’re ramping up the team. Check out the august release update

So we’re going to move this community to this new better forum. I’ve had problems for a while with a bad spam problem here, and this new forum looks really cool. We’ll be much better able to vote on features/bugs and triage/prioritize everything.

atoth we have fixed the issues with the new community. Please let me know if you have any trouble posting.

A new account is required so we can save $199/m, once we stabilize finances we will have a login with legend added to the community login page. For now, please use the same email you have for legend so we can attribute engagement & drop in some gifts 🙂.

I tried posting new requests in the new community but the link to create new submissions seems to just point to the home of the community page.

@Jay, I’m thrilled to hear that Legend has secured its future. I’d feel rather lost without it!

I’m also extremely happy to hear that you’ll still be around (this partnership feels much safer than a sale would have!). You’ve always done such a great job at listening to our feedback, and I’m really hopeful that the collaborative approach will continue.

Please steer the new team towards swatting bugs and stability issues before they get carried away with new features… but that said, I’m kind of excited about seeing .ai part of Vella.ai! I’ve been having a bunch of thoughts about possible ai enhancements in Legend, but didn’t let myself get too excited with the future of the app uncertain.

For the record, I tried posting new discussions in this forum about problems I’m having with the latest app update and also about the inability to use the new forum, but are greyed out (unseen?) at this point…

I hear you, our priority for the rest of the year is to squash bugs and chew gum 🙂, we will keep features light so we can start 2026 with a rock solid foundation.

In the past Jay has alluded to Legend needing a fundamental overhaul to the technology it is built upon.
Is that going to be happening straight out of the gate, or are y’all first going to get the current incarnation stable?

Jerud Stabilizing everything is the only priority for the year. That priority is not always at odds with overhaul tasks. For example, for our sync troubles, it means we should invest in upgrading to the latest LegendState release, which has tons of improvements.

Businessy things like marketing, Reddit posts, etc, will give us a bigger bang for the buck after we stabilize everything.

This. You can’t point at the current offering and ask anybody for money, even if they do see the massive potential. It’s reassuring to see that this is well apprehended.
