The easiest example of this is to have an adjacent pane filtering to show a list of starred/highlighted tasks.
If I change an item to a task, then highlight it, it appears in the filtered pane immediately.
If I highlight an item, then change it to a task, is simply doesn’t appear. I need to prompt it with a refresh of the app, a change to the filter etc. before it will appear.
