When user makes a change that requires Pane Contents to refresh/update, that change is slow and seems to require changing focus away – and usually switching Boards entirely. This is disruptive to workflow, not to mention confusing, and makes it seem like some operations simply “didn’t work”. Situations where I’ve seen this:
- Editing an item to fail a filter – the dashed-lines usually don’t appear in a timely way, and even if they do user must still change Boards to actually ‘disappear’ the item.
- Drag/dropping an Item to create a link/mirror
- Drag/dropping a file in from desktop filesystem to create an attachment
I mentioned this here regarding Filters, but the issue is actually more widespread.
I think someone mentioned it elsewhere too…but couldn’t remember enough to find that.
