Global Search currently returns any item that matches, from anywhere, no matter what.
That means complete items are also returned.
While this is strictly correct and occasionally helpful – much of the time it just returns too many items, and the ‘completes’ are indistinguishable from other items in the results list.
It’d be nice if there were a way to hide completes from the Global Search results. Possibly with a small toggle located next to the “x” button? Ideally that toggle would (globally) remember the last-used position…which would likely be “hide completes” for most of us.
This change might make sense to work on while also fixing the following bug:
