The dialog that opens when you click the “tally box” of a mirror/link doesn’t handle wrapping well and is just too narrow. In the example below (linked items), this is evident in two main ways:
- The breadcrumbs are so heavily truncated that I can’t tell where any of these other items actually are
- Some of the item text runs off the edge of the box without even wrapping.
Adding insult to injury, when I mouse-over each of the items, they ‘adjust’ their truncation/wrapping. But it only shifts the truncation without giving me any more useful detail and ‘fixes’ the item text wrapping…which should have been working in the first place.
I could fit FIVE of these boxes, side-by-side on my screen! The box takes the focus so there’s no need to preserve lots of working space around it…I just don’t understand why it’s so limited. What could it possibly hurt to increase the width of them?
Most of the dialogs in Legend have this problem, opening up at less than ¼ my available screen width. This is on a 17″ laptop screen, not a huge monitor. If this is for small-screen (mobile) compatibility…there needs to be a different solution. Links and Mirrors are super powerful, but these tiny dialogs throttle their usefulness like crazy. It seems like it’d be so simple to make the box wider…
