Group by Heading - sort items not working

I set up a pane with this sort / view configuration:

The FIRST heading group changes when I change the “sort items” option, but it does not sort correctly (by date, or any other sort… priority and A-Z also don’t work correctly). The items order changes, but I’m not able to identify any logic to what it’s doing.
The remaining heading groups do not change order at all when I change the “sort items” option.

There are so many things wrong in GB panes! Most of them, however, are like this – easily overlooked if you’re simply “trusting” the app, but when you pay attention you quickly notice “why is that there, and where is this thing that should be here” type issues. It’s really bad because it undermines both the usefulness of the features and user trust in the app. I use GB panes to surface items that i need to stay on top of, but are prone to getting buried – but if I can’t ‘trust’ the Pane to show me everything it’s supposed to, when/where it’s supposed to…I can’t really build a workflow around it.

I currently have 26 items tagged “#groupby” in my bugs list. This is one area I really want to get the bugs compiled in, because GBPanes hold a LOT of workflow power and potential. Am adding this one.
