Legend Forum: not able to get email notifications for reactions??

Hi,
I’m not getting email notifications when people reply to one of my posts.
Which is rather annoying if you post a bug or a feature request and get an answer - you’re not aware that somebody answered you.

To my surprise, this seems to be the intended behaviour on this forum though?

Having trouble to understand this…

Are you getting emails for everything except reactions? Or are you not getting any emails at all? If not can you check your spam folder?

Hi Jay, definitely not in the spam folder & I don’t seem to be getting any emails at all.

@they86 - Based on the screenshot you sent - it looks like you are currently set to NOT get emails when someone reply’s to a post. The purple circle here is the setting you need to enable.
(This forum calls that “Someone posts in a discussion I’m following”). When you respond to an existing discussion, the forum marks that you are following that discussion and will send the emails if enabled.
Reply to a post only activates (I think) if you were the originator of a post - and from the screenshot, you have that enabled.

The “reacts” is just if someone puts an emoji on your post.

Indeed, I think I didn’t get any emails before because @Jay just posted underneath my post rather than replying to my post… 🙂

(I know see that the forum itself is a bit misleading: at the bottom of a thread it says “Write a Reply”, while that doesn’t trigger the “Reply” mechanism but just a regular “new post” mechanism.

For a “real” Reply you have to press “Reply” on the post you want to reply to. 🙄 )
