YES. I find it really frustrating. My tags aren’t all words, some are long and some have mixed case. Having to type every letter of the tag really slows things down.
@Jay I get the feeling this could be a “quick win”. It looks like all the bones are there - you can even “select” the tag - it just doesn’t do the expected behavior of “auto completing”.
