Add support for blockquote (fixed format code)

Hello, Legend already supports code blocks, but sometimes we need to just highlight a specific word in a line. Like how markdown supports words in backticks.

I’ve attached an example from Notion.

That’s already supported 🙂. It’s called “inline code” in Legend.

Blockquote is actually a different thing - it’s a block level quotation on its own line which looks like this:

That is not yet supported but is on the roadmap.

Thanks, @Jay for correcting me. I could not figure out how to write inline code in Legend. Could you please point me towards a Help article or add an example here?

If you highlight some text it’s this option in the formatting toolbar. Hovering over it will show you the hotkey for your platform. Is that what you’re looking for?

Yes, that is what I’m looking for. Thank you. I tried it out, but the user experience around it is suboptimal.

For example, if I highlight word/words and turn it into inline code, there is no way to remove that formatting. I expected the same command to toggle between the two states. The only way is to Undo it, and for some reason it takes multiple undo to remove that formatting.
