Overdue items coming on a filter after:today

Given an outline agenda view by week
When trying to filter to show only future events by typing after:today
Then the pane still brings up overdue items (which I was not expecting to see as I only want to see future events).

If instead I use the between: syntax I get a different set of results

This is the expansion of both filters above with the details it might help debug what the problem is:

I can conclude the following from this pattern of data:

Between: should bring everything from Monday July 11 (today) and July 18.
However its bringing everything that has a DD between 11 and 18 regardless of month and year (Notice the #Pay D 16/01/20)
after:today before:today+7 should bring the same thing but is bringing in 9 more overdue items
#Pay Cement, #Pay Mobile N, #Pay elec bill, #Pay BI VIS Crdt and others due Jul 8 are overdue, but shouldnt have brought them into this query at all.
No idea on why this query would bring this ones.

So I guess in conclussion there are 2 bugs here:
1) overdue items being brought despite an after:today query
2) Between: and after: and before: queries are not bringing the same resutls given the same parameters.
Between: seems to provide a less inaccurate response.

Just trying to bring this back on top..
A slightly different flavor of this bug is the following:

Filter for overdue items and the outline agenda view is bringing items that have dates in the future.
However, in the list agenda mode it doesn’t happen, there only the overdue items are correctly shown.
