Right now, filtering the email pane appears to match on sender address and subject only. Could that be expanded to match on recipeients addresses and more importantly, sender and recipient names (at least the part of the name that is displayed in the message list)?
I realize it is hard to match on the full text given the method you are using, but perhaps it could also match on the message preview line that is included in the message list.
