'Date' too prominent for completed items...

Noticed this also; and 100% agree with DaveT. Date blocks should be greyed out and struck thru when completed just like the other item text.

Hi @Jay, see image below - the dates on completed items are way to prominant - when scanning a list of completed and non-completed items my eye is drawn equally to both because completed dates are not ‘dimmed’ enough.

I have this fixed to make completed dates grayscale and will release it tomorrow.

@Jay Hmm, it’s definitely better, but it still stands out too much for my liking. If the date text was not bolded when greyed-out that would, I think, be perfect. What do you think @LauraH ?

I agree, with @DaveT It still stands out to much for me also. Consider this screenshot that shows how on completed items the emails “blend in” with the completed, but the date text still being black makes it “jump out”.

Related (but off topic for this particular thread) - I’d love the option to grey out TAGS in completed items as well. I often keep completed items in view as they help me track where I am in various projects, etc. But I really do want ALL parts of them to be very obviously COMPLETED and not visually mixed with active items.)

THIS ⏫ is a great thought. I do the same (often have completed items visible to track progress), and everything about a completed item should be ‘greyed out’ and not attracting your eye - dates, tags, anything else?.

I would like to be able to have the tags present in completed items changed so they do not visually stand out (and are obviously part of completed items.)

Could we get an option to either:
1) Have one of the CSS tags in our display settings be “Tag Color in Completed Items”?
2) Have tags dimmed / greyed out by default on completed items?

And also similar to needing the priority bar on completed items to not be bright anymore either.

DaveT I 2nd or. 3rd it? I also would prefer everything grayed out once it’s complete as it becomes just a reference and not something you need to focus on.

Ok, I think I’ve solved this in the latest beta (https://forum.legendapp.com/d/137-beta-updates/31). It should now be fully graying out everything under completed items, and unbolds them. Is that better?

Jay Yes now contacts, tags and dates are appearing grayed out for completed items. Thanks Jay

Late to the party - this is now great - I’ve even changed the background colour on the completed dates - having that flexibility is great. Thanks Jay. 👏

@Jay - BUG in the priority grey out for completed items: Completed items are showing with a greyed out priority bar EVEN THOUGH they did NOT have a priority.

The item shown here “Italian Chicken Bake” did not have a priority, but is it showing a priority bar once completed.

LauraH That’s actually by design - it’s been doing that since the beginning to differentiate completed items. But we could consider changing it if you think it’s confusing?
