I know, kind of a random question.
I have a lot of repeating tasks. And there’s lots of ways I wish Legend handled them differently. (ie - I’d really like it to generate a new instance on the date requested, rather than simply updating the date in the recurrence - so that I have a record of completed repeating tasks!)
The need to update the created date is in a similar vein:
I sometimes use a task system that depends on seeing tasks on a list in the order they were created. Legend is great at this EXCEPT FOR REPEATING TASKS! When I complete them, their created date stays the same instead of updating to the NEXT date.
This means that when the recurrence comes due again, rather than seeing it show up at the “bottom” of my sorted list (as a new task), it shows up somewhere in the top of my list with the backlog! Meaning, I keep trying to figure out work arounds to make repeaters work in my system. 🙁
(And - side note - I can’t use “modified” here, because I use stars to select tasks on the list, and that updates their “modified” date, or if I change the wording of a task without taking action, I don’t want it to move from it’s place. So I need to sort by created to keep the list consistent.)
