Augment Chrome Extension

The current Legend Chrome Extension just allows you to save a link to your Moo.do document. It’ll be great if optionally it would allow you to (a) add your own custom tags to the link and (b) add tags and/or dates to the link. Other extensions from other vendors offer this sort of functionality.

We would definitely love to add that - it just hasn’t been a super high priority yet.

We’re additionally thinking about making an “Inbox” pane which would list all items saved by the extension, so that the extension wouldn’t need to require selecting a document first. And that could also be used for a mobile widget and possibly to replace/augment the New Item menu as well as the global hotkey in the desktop app. Do you think that would be useful?

Yes! Having a way to enter a new item (whether a link or some copied text or just some typed-in text) would be a great addition. I have missed not being able to quickly add items to Moo.do/Legend since I switched from another outlining app earlier this year.

It would be most useful if we could choose where to place it (having some kind of access to the list of documents or even within the document hierarchy), but I’d be happy if there was just a designated “inbox” document/location that everything would show up in. Then filing things in their proper place could be done later.

Besides a Chrome/web extension, I’d also like to see an Android helper where we could share the link/text with Legend (again, just to an “inbox” would be enough).
