Items Revert to Previous Document - Regression?

I noticed that three items I had moved from one document to another are back in the original document.

Two of the items I had also changed the name of, and they reverted to the previous name as well.

Each of them were moved from one document in outline pane without grouping, to another document of the same kind. I used the click/drag method to hold the item, move it to another pane which had the other document open, and then under the item I wanted it to be under.

David When had you moved those items? Moving items between documents is actually done as a copy with marking the original items as “moved”. But there can be some edge cases where the old one gets updated and is therefore more recent, so Legend starts favoring that.

The new backend we’re working on fully solves this problem, but for now if they get out of sync like that, the best way to solve the conflict is to copy/paste items to the new document, then delete them from the old document.

I had moved them the day prior. I used the same originating document later the first day — they didn’t move back right away. I did make changes to the items, but only after I had moved them.

It’s helpful to know that about how the moving works. I will stick to the copy/paste method for now. Glad to hear the new backend will resolve the issue fully.
