At the very least, if we could just get a tooltips on-hover that displays the full text of the Pane Name, that would soften a lot of this pain. But that’s just a bandaid.
Jorge Is not very frequent, but it might be an issue for a new user that is not aware of that.
It’s actually pretty frequent for me, something about how I use filters and custom names just gobbles up Toolbar space. Also: laptop. Most of my boards fit 4 Panes and at that point I often can’t grab them from anywhere. Although I rarely move my “permanent” panes, any temporary Panes I spawn inherit that pane width and I often want to move them to prevent confusion with the Pane they spawned from. Finding the balance between all these elements will never be perfect but I think it’s fair to say that if user deliberately assigns a custom name – seeing that name is a priority.
It certainly doesn’t help that spawned Panes get the exact same name as their source Pane, and even if they got “-copy” or “-clone” or even “-1” appended to the end, that would be truncated by this behavior.
