How to copy without automatically "- " to the copied text?

When I select a word and copy, it will automatically add “- ” to it.

For example, if I select “1234” in the node “My password is 1234” and copy, I will actually copied as “- 1234”.

It is very annoying as I need to manually delete “- ”.

I suggest: If I select particular selected text, only copy the text.
If I select the whole node, copy the text plus prefix “- ”

eddyen This is kind of a holdover from when Moo.do (the name before Legend) was strictly an outliner, before we added all the prefixes and formatting. It’s been annoying me personally too so we’ll try to change that soon.

Same here! I sometimes share my checklists, and it would be nice to have an option to not copy / manually delete “[ ] ” from every item. 🙂

There are indeed some obstacles in this regard. When I copy the content of legend to others, I often need to put the content into vscode first. Then use the search and replace function of vscode to send a lot of “-” “[]” or something that I don’t want to send to Delete other people’s duplicate tags and other content and then copy it to others. Now legend does not have a search and replace function for the time being. This will be inconvenient
