Option to not include children in search results

Currently if an item is included in the search criteria all of its children are included also. Would like option to not include children (e.g. children:no).

The basic idea is users want to select the exact items they requested. Children may be a detail they don’t want in their search.

As a side note, this could be built on to build more interesting searches that combine all the headers with select items (e.g. (is:header children:no) or pri:high).

Unless I’m misunderstanding your request: The View as LIST option already does this.

List view can also be considered as “Show exact matches only” - which will exclude children (unless the child item also specifically matches the search).
