Legend Not syncing data within document in live instances of the app when OPML data is pasted into an instance of the app.
Steps to reproduce:
Run the Windows Native App, Mac OSx (Intel) Native App, and the Windows Web Legend.
1-In the Windows Native App, Create new document.
2-Create three new bullet items (item 1, item 2, item 3)
3-Open the OPML example text in a text editor, copy it to the clipboard.
4-Create an empty bullet item between Item 2 and Item 3. Click on that new empty item.
5-Paste the OPML text from the cliboard into the empty item. The text appears in the
6-Select all the new lines in the new item of the OPML text.
At this point, the OPML hierarchy lines appear in the Windows Web Legend.
They do not appear in the Legend Windows App, nor do they appear in the Max OSx native Legend.
7- Adding an new item to the Windows Native App (Item 4) causes the new item to appear in the other instances of Legend, but the OPML data still only shows in the Legend Windows Web instance.
Changes that do not involve the pasted OPML lines appear to behave properly; The OPML data is being ignored.
A second issue: The first time I did this, the OPML data appeared to sync normally. After making a few changes to those items in Legend, it ‘broke’ and from that point on, all use of OPML, including recreating the steps above would fail to work.
Restarting all instances of Legend did not help.
Something in the course of normal operations is ‘breaking’ Legend’s sync.
This is different from previous issues where Legend did not sync documents between instances if the instances were not running. This is Legend not syncing data in a document while it is live in several instances at once.
I’ve pm-d you the OPML example file.
