Jay Update 1645074380400: Fix: Gmail preview was not always immediately hiding Gmail UI @andrew https://forum.legendapp.com/d/490-gmail-message-pane-showing-full-gmail-page-and-not-changing-on-message-selection
Jay Update 1645237878245: Feature: The / menu in empty items has an input so it can filter for quicker usage Feature: Press Ctrl + P on Windows/Linux or Cmd + P on Mac to open a Command Palette which includes all of the commands that have hotkeys. This can be useful for new users to see all of the options or for quickly invoking an action you don’t remember the hotkey for. We can also add many more commands in the future even if we don’t set default hotkeys for them (and hotkeys can always be added/modified in the settings).
Jay Update 1645483974789: Fix: Project/Heading views with no Project/Heading children were appearing empty
Jay Update 1645963762907: Feature: Inferred hierarchy from Heading size. This gives you all the benefits of indenting without having to indent. So you can just create a Heading and put some items below it, and then filtering will treat it as if they’re children, and the Heading will be collapsible. But if the item below a Heading is indented, it will cancel that behavior and just work as an indented outline. Of course the existing outline behavior won’t change at all, and with normal outline indenting you shouldn’t see this change anything. The idea is that it would be more approachable for non-outliner people to give all the collapsing/filtering features to regular documents, and I personally find it more comfortable in some situations to write content like a document instead of an outline. It’s currently an option in the General section of settings if you have “Test beta features” enabled. I would love to know what you think! See example at bottom of post and please discuss in https://forum.legendapp.com/d/519-inferred-hierarchy-from-heading-size Change: Command palette is sorted alphabetically Fix: Hotkeys in command palette were not legible in light theme Feature: Added more commands: Go back Set view mode in pane Collapse by level Fix: Autocomplete opens at the caret position instead of left aligned to items Fix: Drag / drop was sometimes displaying items at the wrong indentation Fix: Pasting after a tag was inserting a space Fix: Pasting was not working with autocomplete open Fix: “Include prefixes” option in export was not working correctly Fix: Printing in dark theme was not returning to dark theme after printing Inferred hierarchy example: # Heading 1 Child ## Heading 2 Sub child Works the same as: # Heading Child ## Heading 2 Sub child
Jay Update 1646115606628: Design: Command palette and global search are now in the same popup, switchable by clicking the icon on the left side, and improved the styling of it a bit Design: Global search truncates items to one line. This looks cleaner and easier to read, I think? But is having multiple lines valuable? Fix: Enter in global search was not working sometimes Change: Removed the old Hotkeys help, added Command Palette to the options menu, and added Search to sidebar and top bar @Jerud https://forum.legendapp.com/d/501-command-palette/9
Jay Update 1646205776270: Fix: Inferred hierarchy was appearing to reorder if H4 appeared above an H3 Fix: Popup panes had no left padding on the pane title Change: Command palette / global search don’t switch between each other @Jerud https://forum.legendapp.com/d/501-command-palette/13 Change: Command palette icon more unique @Jerud https://forum.legendapp.com/d/501-command-palette/13
Tom123 Jay Hi Jay! Very nice changes! but I have a problem: many of my hotkeys are not working: search, open setting, move between panels, undo, among others. What can be? Thanks!
Jay Update 1646448468329: Fix: Drag drop from the overview was not working Change: Reduced height of — and === items and added theme selectors for them: hr, hrLight, hrHeavy Change: Reduced intensity of zoomed item color in pane header Change: Left padding of pane heading matches left padding of items
Jay Update 1646618221877: Fix: Lots of images were causing pane scroll to appear to jump around while scrolling up Fix: Highlighting search text was hiding text inside angled brackets @studgeek @Jerud https://forum.legendapp.com/d/445-global-search-results-dont-show-text-in-angled-brackets/2
Jay Update 1646707377987: Fix: Deleting items was not correctly selecting afterwards Fix: Prevent merging two items with dates or deleting before a calendar event @ahp https://forum.legendapp.com/d/410-calendar-integration/7 Fix: Deleting items synced to calendar confirms before removing from Google Calendar @ahp https://forum.legendapp.com/d/410-calendar-integration/7
Jay Update 1647329631612: Feature: Added a new alignToPrefixes option to align to Headings. This makes bullets/tasks/numlist indent, while Heading/Project/Code do not. I think this is a better indentation if you often mix plain text and prefixes, but if you have no plain text items and only use bullets/tasks you may prefer the Text or Prefix options. Please let me know what you think in this thread Fix: Inferred hierarchy not working when zoomed in
Jay Update 1647417999403: Fix: Deleting items synced to calendar, and selecting no in the confirmation, was hiding them from calendar panes until refresh @ahp https://forum.legendapp.com/d/410-calendar-integration/11
Jay Update 1647504919924: Feature: Added “Editable” setting to calendar sync for increased safety when syncing with work calendars @ahp https://forum.legendapp.com/d/410-calendar-integration/13 Yes: Edits sync automatically Prompt: Prompt before editing outside of Calendar No: Edits are not allowed outside of Calendar
Jay Update 1647773058250: Feature: Tag coloring by prefix. See the new section in the Display Settings. You can enter a prefix of a tag and set a text color or background color on it. @ahp @ghuth Examples: If you use #@Name as a way to do custom contacts, you could set @ as a tag prefix to color all of those green If you use _ as separators to create a tag hierarchy you could set different colors for work_ and home_ for example.
